Based on my recollection of the campaign, here are some expectations of Obama's first 100 days.

  • Troops out of Iraq
  • US friends with all other countries
  • Close the Gitmo terrorist holding facility
  • Government paid mortgages and free gasoline (according to Peggy Joseph)
  • Focus on war in Afganistan
  • Increase transparency and accountability in Washington
  • Eliminate America's use of coal
  • Stop Earth's temperature from rising
  • Kill Bin Laden
  • End partisanship in Washington
  • Stop oceans from rising
  • Lower unemployment
  • Increase value of investments (i.e stock market)
  • Lower taxes

Finis.

That's it. This blog is done. Done. Done. And done. 100 days. Done. I don't like the course we are on. I hope to God to not have to open a new blog "The Last 100 days of the United States of America". Your and my kids future has been mortgaged. Things will get worse, much worse. This thing is a runaway train. Pray we survive.

It is eerily that the 100 days course has been set and tomorrow is May Day. Its an important holiday in the communist counties. Maybe it will be in America, too?

"Mayday, mayday, mayday, this is the last bastion of freedom calling...can anyone hear me?"
"Mayday, mayday, mayday, we are sinking fast..."
"Mayday, mayday, mayd..."

Day 100. Loving you.

From CNN

President Obama said Wednesday that a recent uptick in violence in Iraq won't affect his plan for a phased military withdrawal.

"Civilian deaths, incidents of bombings ... remain very low relative to what was going on last year," Obama said during a prime time news conference on his 100th day in office.

"The political system is holding and functioning in Iraq."

Wait, are you saying Bush and Rumsfeld plan worked? WTF?

Its good to see they have refined BOTO's reading technique...looking straight into the camera here.

Seriously, well not really. This pretty much sums up the coverage of the first 100 days.

Does BOTO have a twin sister?

Day 99. Flattered or Furious?

CNN.com...
NEW YORK (CNN) -- A "furious" President Obama has ordered a review of the decision to fly a Boeing 747 frighteningly close to the lower Manhattan skyline, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Tuesday.

If you don't think the staff and BOTO did not know about this, you are nuts. He was probably on board along with his biggest donors. But after the reaction in NYC, he needed to come out clean...being "furious" should do it.

And from guardian.co.uk...

Barack Obama's offer of a hand of friendship to Iran after 30 years of hostility may have met with a sceptical public response from Tehran. But now a rapprochement of sorts may be under way amid evidence that the US president's can-do electioneering tactics have struck a chord with his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Or is this a mocking jibe at the United States? I think Ackmajeemidod will be the end to this president's reign.

Now hopefully nothing (like the swine flu) will mess up tomorrow...the 100th day.

Day 98. TOTUS

From politico.com

President Obama’s speech at the National Academy of Sciences Monday morning hit a brief snag when Obama got ahead of his script.

Laying his plan for a President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, Obama began to name the members of PCAST listed in his prepared remarks – before realizing he’d already introduced them, earlier in his speech.

“In addition to John – sorry, the – I just noticed I jumped the gun here,” Obama said, pausing for several seconds as he looked at the prompter. “Go ahead. Move it up. I had already introduced all you guys.”

The audience, which gave the president a warm reception, responded with a quiet laugh.

For me, the most memorable thing of the first 100 days is BOTO's complete lack of self-conscienceness in using his crutch, I mean teleprompter. What a way to show people who are afraid to speak in public how you can fool everyone watching on TV!

It reminds me of the story about Peter, who wanted to learn the names of birds. He read a book and learned the names of birds. Then Peter wanted to learn how to speak in public. He read off a teleprompter.

Day 97. Dammit, Janet!

From WRAL.com(OK, AP)

WASHINGTON — The U.S. declared a public health emergency Sunday to deal with the emerging new swine flu, much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes.
...
At a White House news conference, Besser and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano sought to assure Americans that health officials are taking all appropriate steps to minimize the impact of the outbreak.
...

Swine flu. Oh dear, what should we do? Government, please help us. We do not want to get the swine flu.

Look how on top of the situation the administration is. Janet is out there assuring us of the proper measures being taken. BOTO is golfing, I mean receiving hourly updates on the situation.

Don't worry about the emergency, though. See how much better this administration is than the Katrina-era administration?

It's a good think BOTO got out of Mexico (where this thing started) just in time. You conspiracy theorists out there can forget about him personally planting this distraction. Stop thinking that right now!

So, once public places are shuttered, like schools, etc. You people are probably going to go a little stir crazy. But hey, when it's over, think of the spending that will pull us out of this little recession. Not to mention the need for grave diggers to bury all the dead people...that should take care of the unemployment problem.

Yeah, rest assured people. We got another capable Janet, like the one from Nevada in the Clinton administration.

Take advantage of the crisis, right Rham-ster?

Day 96. Superpresident!

From CNN's Bill Schneider

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- How does President Obama compare with his predecessors after nearly 100 days in office?
...
Is Obama the superpresident? So far, so good.

This guy is in love. Oh, yeah.

Friday, April 24, 2009

Day 95. Nothing today.

No time...have a real job.

Thursday, April 23, 2009

Day 94. My sentiments, exactly.

TMZ...

Barack Obama wants change -- his top economic advisor just wants a nap.

When you have to listen to "blah, blah, blah...", what do you expect?

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Day 93. How embarrassing.

LA Times...

HAVANA -- Fidel Castro says President Barack Obama "misinterpreted" his brother Raul's remarks regarding the United States and bristled at the suggestion that Cuba should free political prisoners or cut taxes on dollars people send to the island.
...

To paraphrase another 'King', this administration just wants 'everybody to get along'. It's embarrassing. They just want to have an international group hug. The problem is a lot of countries would like to stick a knife in our back. I don't think the administration gets that. One term loser.

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Day 92. Can't touch this..

From CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A key Democrat who reportedly was overheard on a National Security Agency wiretap discussing a deal with a suspected Israeli agent has called the wiretap an "abuse of power."

Rep. Jane Harman, D-California, called on the Obama administration to release transcripts of the alleged conversations to her, saying she would make them public.

Obama will not stop the previous administration's officials from being prosecuted. But he is wiretapping members of his own party?

"Can't touch this."

Monday, April 20, 2009

Day 91. Guys, guys,...

On budget cuts...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Cut a latte or two out of your annual budget and you've just done as much belt-tightening as President Barack Obama asked of his Cabinet on Monday.

The thrifty measures Obama ordered for federal agencies are the equivalent of asking a family that spends $60,000 in a year to save $6.

A fly on the wall would have heard this at today's cabinet meeting...
"Guys, guys, come on guys, settle down. It's time to get serious about the budget, really serious...because this is going to hurt..."

I have never been more embarrassed as an American Citizen as that I am right now.
It is getting to the point where it is not even funny anymore. Thankfully I have only nine more days!

Seriously, I guess this is patriotic or something, we should ask Joe Biden.

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Day 90. 'Grave' concern.

From CNN

(CNN) -- President Obama called Sunday for the release of a U.S. journalist convicted of espionage in Iran.

"I am gravely concerned with her safety and well-being," Obama, who was attending the Summit of the Americas, told reporters in response to a question about 31-year-old Roxana Saberi.

"We are working to make sure that she is properly treated and to get more information about the disposition of her case. She is an American citizen and I have complete confidence that she was not engaging in any sort of espionage. She is an Iranian-American who was interested in the country which her family came from. And it is appropriate for her to be treated as such, and to be released."
...

Wow, this guy is tough. Though to me it sounds like he is on the campaign trail with the "we're working hard for you" schtick. I bet he also has his sleeves rolled up into a nice cliche.

But you'd better watch out Acmadeemajod, the Israelis are coming for you.

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Day 89. State of the Union: Confusion

From CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The United States is boycotting a U.N. conference on racism next week over a document that "singles out" Israel in its criticism and conflicts with the nation's "commitment to unfettered free speech," the U.S. State Department said Saturday.
...
Meanwhile, the Congressional Black Caucus said it was "deeply dismayed" by the decision made by the nation's first African-African president, saying it was inconsistent with administration policies.

"Had the United States sent a high-level delegation reflecting the richness and diversity of our country, it would have sent a powerful message to the world that we're ready to lead by example," the statement said. "Instead, the administration opted to boycott the conference, a decision that does not advance the cause of combating racism and intolerance, but rather sets the cause back."

Looks like the CBC is confused...is he with us or against us? We'll see.

Friday, April 17, 2009

Day 88. Che Obama?

From CNN

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago (CNN) -- President Obama said Friday he is seeking "a new beginning" in U.S. relations with Cuba.
President Obama and Venezuela President Hugo Chavez greet each other Friday at the Summit of the Americas.

Before addressing the representatives of 34 countries at the Summit of the Americas, Obama and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez saw each other and shook hands.

Here is Che Obama, by his position, through his actions, he is essentially attacking American freedom on foreign soil. Past attacks on our freedom have brought the people of this country together, like on 9/12. The more sudden the attack, the quicker we come together. This attack is occurring over weeks and months, therefore it will take a little longer to come together and defeat the rise of the Socialists. We are a big domino, but we will not fall.

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Day 87. He's coming.

From CNN...

MEXICO CITY, Mexico (CNN) -- Reviving a ban on assault weapons and more strictly enforcing existing gun laws could help tamp down drug violence that has run rampant on the U.S.-Mexican border, President Obama said Thursday.
...

He's coming for us gun owners. I say bring it. Bring it on. People are getting outraged over taxes, spending and the socialist agenda. The assault weapons ban adds impetus to the outrage. This will bring the change we need--lots of new faces in congress in 2011.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Day 86. Tax day.

From CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) — The White House released 2008 tax returns Wednesday for the Obamas and the Bidens.

The president and the first lady reported an adjusted gross income of of more than $2.6 million last year, and paid $855,323 in federal income tax. The Obamas also donated $172,050, to 37 different charities, including $25,000 contributions to CARE and the United Negro College Fund.

The Obamas, who donated $26,270 to Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ in 2007, did not contribute any money to the church in 2008. They donated $240,370 to 33 charities in 2007, including $35,000 to CARE, and $50,000 to the United Negro College Fund.

Was the $35000 to CARE or CAIR?

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Day 85. First family = FIRST-TASTIC!

From CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Bo the Portuguese water dog made his White House debut under cloudy skies Tuesday afternoon, spending several minutes taking his new family on a lively romp over the South Lawn with frequent stops for hearty sniffs at his new surroundings.

OMG, this family is so AWESOME! Now, I know the dog was supposed to be a 'rescue' dog, but those allergies well, that'll put the damper on quickly. You know the intent was there and the symbolism of that is all that really matters--substance is WAY over-rated. Besides, you could argue that it was 'rescued' from Ted Kennedy, (who probably is into these dogs to avoid another Mary Jo Koepeckne incident). hehe.

Even the name 'Bo', it sounds so southern red-neckedy. Like one of the Duke boys. These people are reaching out to the diversity that is America. They are FIRST-TASTIC! Fine! Maybe it is just a little self-serving and arrogant being that those are also his initials, but remember, HE WON!

OK, gotta go throw-up, now.

Monday, April 13, 2009

Day 84. Cuba, here we come!

From the Cable News Network...

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Obama lifted all restrictions Monday on the ability of individuals to visit relatives in Cuba, as well as to send them remittances.
...

So the cruel, brutal dictatorial Castro family will benefit from all the money spent by Americans visiting family. Certainly the money will be put nefarious use by the brothers. Will Cubans enjoy the same freedom to come and go from Cuba at will? Will visitors enjoy world-class healthcare in the commie utopia? The answers are No and No.

Perhaps this move will help GM by opening up a new market for their vehicles. Don't you think it's about time to replace some of those 50+ year old cars they are driving around down there? We have to save the earth, after all! Can't you hear the environmental do-gooders now?

Sunday, April 12, 2009

Day 83, All Hail, BOTO!

From CNN

(CNN) -- For four days, an American sea captain and four Somali pirates rode the waves of the Indian Ocean in an enclosed lifeboat, far out of sight of most of the world.
...

Thanks be to God, on this Easter, for Barack Obama, The One! He saved American ship captain Richard Phillips. He deserves all the credit for his steady, calm hand at the tiller of this pirate crisis. He so brilliantly acted indifferent to the situation where an American was being held hostage by terrorists pirates, and was there to talk about "housing" the other day. But now we know that BOTO was secretly plotting, planning and strategizing the rescue of Captain Phillips. All Hail, BOTO!

And get your cameras! It's another historic moment as the first black president gets a first dog. My understanding is that it is a shelter dog rescued by the Obamas and its name is 'Bo'....awwww. So historic!

Saturday, April 11, 2009

Day 82. All Hail, BOTO!

from CNN...

(CNN) – Arizona State University appeared to backtrack Saturday in the controversy over not giving President Barack Obama an honorary degree, and said it would pay tribute to the president by expanding its most important scholarship program and naming it after him.
...

Remember, as BOTO said, "I won".
Now, you shall all bow and kiss His ring. Or face vilification!

Friday, April 10, 2009

Day 81. Domino's Pizza

From the hometown rag...

It just doesn't add up.

Proud Chicagoan Barack Obama plus a relocation to Washington equals the president special ordering Chicago-style deep-dish pizza from Pi ... in St. Louis?

But it's true.
...

Hey, to hell with the state of the economy and taxes. Remember he 'won'.

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Day 80. Guys, guys, we're talking about housing right now.

Reuters has it...

WASHINGTON, April 9 (Reuters) - Ragtag teams of modern-day Blackbeards are posing an annoying distraction for Barack Obama, forcing him to add Somalia to an already long list of foreign policy challenges.
...
He declined to comment on the pirate situation for the second day in a row on Thursday.
...

WTF? Apparently they are having some troubles with the TOTUS. Why else would he have nothing to say about the pirate situation?
If there are any bad guys out there in the big, wide world, we're screwed. I have zero confidence in this administration.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Day 79. The world loves us...

Today we learned how the United States is going to talk to Cuba about normalizing relations and Iran about nuclear weapons. Somali pirates took a ship captain hostage. Barack is packing for Mexico. Maybe not a bad idea to get the hell out of here.

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Day 78. Imitation - the sincerest form of flattery.

From CNN...

(CNN) -- President Obama made an unannounced visit to Iraq on Tuesday.

The top U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. Ray Odierno, met Obama shortly after Air Force One landed in Baghdad about 4:42 p.m. local time (9:42 a.m. ET).

It's "great to see the troops," Obama said shortly after landing. "They're putting their heart and soul into the effort."
...

BOTO is taking a page from the Bush playbook. Can't wait to hear about the mood of the reception...guessing it was something like this contrast.

Monday, April 6, 2009

Day 77. Who you calling turkey, sucker?

Uh, Uh, Uh, we can, uh, ...

its just too painful.

Sunday, April 5, 2009

Day 76. Kim Jong Il for SecDef?

From CNN...

...
In a statement after the launch, Obama said, "With this provocative act, North Korea has ignored its international obligations, rejected unequivocal calls for restraint and further isolated itself from the community of nations."
...

North Korea broke the rules. Tsk, tsk, tsk. You know what we do with rule breakers around here...that's right, we appoint them to a high government position--like the cabinet.

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Friday, April 3, 2009

Day 74. Out of the park...

From CNN...

(CNN) -- Following this week's tough talks on the global financial crisis, President Obama on Friday shifted his tone to reflect upon his regrets, his frustrations and his hopes for the younger generation.
Obama's remarks came after a woman from Heidelberg, Germany, asked if he ever regretted having run for president. The question yielded a lengthy response from Obama, who is participating in his first overseas trip in office.

Ooohhhh. Gosh, he understands us. He relates to us. He is soooo dreamy!

Yep, the administration pulled off a game of good old American softball. Toss that baby up there and pow! Out of the park. See ya!

Watch it...

But becareful...you might need a box of kleenix by the time it is over...or in my case a barf bag.

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Day 73. Please...

CNN reports...

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The State Department on Thursday sent a blunt, public message to North Korea: Don't launch your missile.

Wow. The administration is taking a really hard line with these North Koreans.

If they launch it anyway, it goes to show you...when you ask a favor, you should always say 'please'.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

72. All systems operating nominally

From CNN

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Barack Obama announced new arms negotiations with Russia's president, discussed North Korea with China's president, talked about the global economy with Britain's prime minister and had tea with Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday -- a busy day for any leader.

Blah, blah, blah...everyone is following the script to a tee.

It looks like the teleprompter is there, but he is trying to cover with the papers at the podium...what's he talking about, anyway?

But supposedly BOTO gives the queen another iPod, I still think a clapper would have been a better gift.
